The Founder

Karla Karach

Karla Farach is the Founder and President of KROIA Skincare. Ms. Farach was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, where vibrant colours were an integral part of the Caribbean culture and environment. Her deep interest in science and health comes from her father, a prominent chemical engineer, while her strong love of color comes from her mother, an artist. Over the years, Ms. Farach has studied many facets of traditional and alternative medicine, including aromatherapy, gemstone therapy, nutrition and chromotherapy – all of which she applies to her daily life. KROIA is the culmination of Ms. Farach’s many passions.

A certified color counselor, healer and expert in chromotherapy, Karla Farach has always been interested in alternative approaches to health and beauty. Ms. Farach developed KROIA (derived from the Greek word “chroma”, which means color) to help provide women with an alternative, holistic approach to their beauty regimen. KROIA’s formulations incorporate color-saturated, highly effective ingredients – including pure aromatherapy extracts and essential oils; the latest, most advanced active ingredients; and micronized crystals, which work as energy amplifiers and help deliver beneficial color-energy frequencies to the skin.

KROIA products are formulated to bring harmony and balance to the skin using the principles of modern skincare and chromotherapy — an ancient science that recognizes the healing properties of color. Harnessing the energy from colors found in pure, bio-available extracts, essential oils, crystals and the latest, most advanced ingredients, KROIA products deliver beautiful, healthy, radiant skin. KROIA’s chromotherapy-influenced product line includes three active, colour-infused lines – AGE-DEFYING Pink Therapy, ENERGIZING Yellow Therapy and SOOTHING Blue Therapy. Within each range, KROIA offers an Active Foaming Moisturizer, for healthy radiant skin.

Ms. Farach studied chromotherapy at England’s renowned Iris International School of Color Therapy. Prior to studying chromotherapy, Ms. Farach worked in marketing and product development for her family’s international pharmaceutical company based in the Dominican Republic. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts and her Graduate degree in International Business from Boston University in 2000. In 2003, Ms. Farach received her Certified Nutritionist (CN) Certificate from The American Health Science University in Boulder, Colorado.

Ms. Farach is a world traveler who currently resides in New York City with her husband and child.
